🥣 Curd vs Yoghurt—Same Same, But Different!

At Sattvic Grains, we believe in mindful eating. #Curd and #yoghurt may look alike, but they’re not the same. Let’s break it down simply:

🌿 What’s Similar:

🔸 Both are made from milk.

🔸 Both contain good bacteria.

🔸 Both help #digestion and cool the body.

🔸 Both are rich in #calcium and #protein.

🔍 What’s Different:

🔸 Curd is made by adding natural curd or lemon to warm milk.

🔸 Yoghurt is made using specific lab-grown bacterial cultures.

🔸 Curd bacteria vary daily; yoghurt has fixed strains like #Lactobacillus.

🔸 Yoghurt is more consistent in texture and #probiotic content.

🌱 Ayurvedic Insight:

Curd is heating in nature and best eaten during the day—not at night. Yoghurt, especially plain and unsweetened, is cooling and easier to digest. Both should be consumed in moderation and paired with spices like cumin or black pepper.

📿 Sattvic Tip:

Avoid curd during cold, cough, or at night. Prefer buttermilk or spiced yoghurt instead.
